As the graduation for my previous MSc cohort approaches, it is time to look back on the work we did together last year. All projects were broadly focused on student mental health – as we looked to better understand why university student population exhibits mental health spikes in the way that they do. So, for any incoming students eager to see what sort of projects I’ve conducted in the past, either with students or independently, please take a look through the list below.

Projects run by MSc Students
- The relationship between parenting dimensions and student mental health – does retrospective recall of different parenting dimensions predict differences in mental health whilst at university?
- Do students from different backgrounds report differing levels of support offered by universities?
- What different dimensions of mental health literacy exist?
- How does stress predict student wellbeing? And, does this differ for students with a pre-existing chronic illness?
- Review: What environmental factors contribute to poor mental health in university students?
My independent projects
- How do every-day activities contribute to the maintenance of depressive symptoms?
- Can we identify underlying student profiles that help us identify who will struggle with differential stressors throughout their academic year?
